Hey guys,
This is Yash Mulgaonkar and I shall be co-coordinating “The Wright Approach”.
This
club was
initiated in 2007 as a branch of the SAE-Collegiate
Club of K.J. Somaiya College of Engineering, Vidyavihar, Mumbai. It is
dedicated to promote the very rare hobby of AEROMODELLING (the art of
making and flying model aircraft). I would like to thank Mr.Samir
Somaiya and Mr.Dinesh Acharya for being our pillers of support. It was
because of them, that this club could roll out of its hanger.
During the course of the club, the members will learn the basic principles and science of flight in addition to making a Control Line (C/L) aircraft powered by a 3.5cc diesel engine.
The structure and function of every part of the aircraft will be explained during its assembly.
Once the construction is complete, the most sincere and enthusiastic members shall get a chance to pilot their very own aircraft.
For the past couple of years, it has been a regular practice, that our club members are invited by various councils / clubs of our college to inaugurate their events like technical festivals with breathtaking airshows.
Being an active aeromodeller for the past eight years myself, I have experienced that:
"PATIENCE is a synonym for AEROMODELLING".
So all the students who are genuinely interested in this hobby and are willing to face "air-pockets" and "turbulence" are requested to enroll for this club.
So friends, it’s time to liberate the WRIGHTS in you, hit the afterburner and take to the skies...
Regards,
Yash Shailesh Mulgaonkar
